John Green, what a despicable shitlib. Anytime he brings up Aristotle we hear how sexist he was, his computer has a sticker saying "this machine kills fascists". Millennial Californian shitlibbery for kids.
His snarky, allegedly entertaining style makes it impossible to enjoy history in reality. Those who look down on the past can never truly understand it.
This is true, the Democrat party platform at the time was the same one from Grover Cleveland's time, a fact noted by James Burnham in the Machiavellians.
Well yes and no at the same time. The Democratic party from 1896 onwards had two main functions. The conservative "bourbon Democrat" faction of Grover Cleveland, Alton b Parker, and a few others. The other faction was the populist faction of William Jennings Bryan. While Bryan was dead by the time 1932 rolled around he did have much inspiration on FDR but so did Cleveland. I do despise the FDR for a number of reasons but I will give him credit that he had a very good tightrope balancing act between all the different factions of his party, he had Southern racists and Lefty progressives in the same cabinet. Got to give credit were credits due.

No man has done so much damage to a entire generations historical knowledge than John Green.

And FDR ran against Hoover’s Progressive big government intervention
